Safari Village

When you set foot in our Safari Village, plan to stroll and stop along the way so you can see and get up-close with the animals who live here. See what you can expect from your journey below.

Step inside our Budgie Adventure Aviary, located within the Safari Village, and experience a walk-through habitat filled with vibrant budgies. Watch them flutter overhead or land nearby as you explore one of the most colorful areas of the park.

Anything you can do, they can do slower. Whether they’re resting high above, enjoying a nap or slowly making their way toward a snack, our sloths are as charming as they are relaxed.

Visit the Giraffe Tower and come eye-to-eye with our tower of reticulated giraffes. These gentle giants, known for their distinctive coat patterns, offer one of the most memorable views in Safari Village.

Meet Barnaby and Armstid, our giant anteaters and two of the park’s most popular residents. With their long snouts and distinctive feeding habits, these unique animals are always a guest favorite.

Watch our black-and-white ruffed lemurs as they move about their island habitat, climbing, resting and occasionally showing off their playful side.

Encounter the ancient giants of the Aldabra Atoll. Among the largest tortoises in the world, these impressive animals move at their own steady pace and offer a glimpse into one of the longest-living species on Earth.

Meet our tufted capuchins, one of the newest additions to Alabama Safari Park. Known for their intelligence and curiosity, these primates are often active and engaging as they explore their habitat.

Enjoy a hands-on experience with some of our friendliest animals. Feed and pet goats and kids, potbellied pigs and piglets, chickens, baby llamas and more of your farmyard favorites.

Enjoy a stroll through the Kangaroo Walk-About. See kangaroos jump, leap or enjoy a lazy nap in the sun. And keep an eye out for mom kangaroos with their babies, known as joeys, in their pouches.
