Sloth Experience
Whether they’re just hanging out, taking a snooze, or moseying along to reach a tasty treat, our oddly adorable two-toed sloths are as delightful as sloths can be!
In our Sloth Encounter, you’ll get up close to feed and learn about these gentle creatures and discover that while they’re slow movers, they are loaded with personality. Have your camera ready to capture this unique animal experience.
What you to know before you go
Ages: All ages permitted. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cost: $40 per person; Does not include admission.
What to wear: Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
When: Weather permitting, these encounters will be offered daily at 11a, 1p and 3p. Limited availability – 10 participants, reservations strongly recommended.

Ring-Tailed Lemur Experience
What to know before you go
Cost: $35 per person; park admission not included
Times: 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Duration: Approximately 20 minutes
Group Size: Maximum of 6 participants
Age: Ages 8 and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult
What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes are recommended
Meet: In front of the lemur habitat next to the Aldabra tortoise habitat.
When: Daily, weather permitting
Giraffe Experience
Looking for a unique experience with the tallest animal on the planet? Visit Alabama Safari Park today and participate in a unique giraffe encounter.
Includes a personal tour of the giraffe barn and a meet and greet with our resident herd of reticulated giraffes. Tour participants will spend time visiting and feeding the giraffes while your guide explains what makes this threatened species unique, how they are managed and cared for at the park, and their status in the wild.
What to know before you go
Ages: Children under the age of 2 are not permitted. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cost: $25 per person; Does not include admission.
Participants: Encounter is limited to 10 participants.
What to wear: Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Duration: 20 – 30 minutes
When: Weather permitting, these encounters will be offered daily at 1:30p.
Where: Check-in 10 minutes before the scheduled encounter time at the Giraffe Tower. The encounter begins promptly at the assigned time. Late arrivals will not be permitted to join the experience.
Aldabra Tortoise Encounter
During this experience, you will be introduced to our resident Aldabra tortoises and learn what goes into taking care of the second-largest species of tortoise in the world. Enjoy a hands-on experience and learn all about these amazing animals and conservation efforts the Alabama Safari Park supports.

Participants: Encounter is limited to 10 participants.
